The OPC’s 86th Anniversary Awards Dinner on April 17 featured a keynote speech from Nicholas Kristof, a columnist for The New York Times and an award-winning author, presentation of the President’s Award to Lynsey Addario, an American photojournalist who has covered global conflict, humanitarian crises and women’s issues for more than two decades, lighting of the Press Freedom Candle with remarks from Charles Forelle, deputy editor of The Wall Street Journal, and Julie Pace, executive editor of The Associated Press, as well as acceptance speeches from recipients for this year’s 22 awards for exceptional international journalism.
