“Paul Conrad can be blunt or subtle, fierce or tender, witty or angry,” his editors say, “but he is always clear in conception and bold in execution.” The OPC judges added creative, relevant, and compelling. Conrad has been an editorial cartoonist for The Los Angeles Times since 1964, and his work is also distributed by The Times Syndicate. He won an OPC award in 1970, as well as two Pulitzer Prizes and three Sigma Delta Chi awards. He has published three books and exhibited his bronze sculptures, as well as his cartoons.
