Four newsmen have been killed during the fighting in Georgia, the International News Safety Institute reported on August 12 from Brussels. They were Russians Alexander Klimchuk, owner of Georgia’s independent photo agency Caucasus Press Images, and Grigol Chikhladze, Newsweek Russia; Dutch cameraman Stans Storimans, news station RTL; and an unidentified Georgian journalist and his driver. At least 10 other correspondents were wounded.
