Collie and Stocker’s work on Haiti for the South Florida Sun-Sentinal was outstanding. The writing was clear, dramatic, and original. The photographs were astonishing and the presentation electric. In addition to cataloging the problem, the entry went some way to prescribing solutions, which the panel saw as an effective use of environmental writing.
