But within the past year, conditions for reporting in China have deteriorated sharply with threats, intimidation, censorship, and denials of work visas. International news media and the Chinese press are under pressure not seen since 1989, the year of the Tiananmen Square demonstrations and military crackdown. OPC Announces Election Results for Board and Officers
During the Annual Meeting Wednesday night, the OPC announced the results of this year’s election for officers as well as Active and Associate board members. The 2014 ballot featured a broad
slate of candidates spanning a wide range of ages, demographics and media organizations.
Members voted for officers, 10 Active board members and three Associate board
